Flyer

The annual ACM SIGKDD conference is the premier international forum for data mining researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to share their ideas, research results and experiences. KDD-2012 will be held from August 12-16 in Beijing, China. This is the first time for KDD to be in Asia, and the conference will attract hundreds of practitioners and academic data miners converging on the one location.

The KDD-2012 Conference will feature invited talks, panels, demos and exhibitions, tutorials, KDDCUP, posters and workshops, in addition to the following exciting tracks:

Research Track

We invite submission of papers describing innovative research on all aspects of knowledge discovery and data mining. Submitted papers will be assessed based on their novelty, technical quality, potential impact, and clarity of writing. For topics, please visit the KDD-2012 web site.

Industry and Government Track

The Industrial/Government Applications Track solicits papers describing implementations of KDD solutions relevant to industrial or government settings. Emphasis is on papers that advance the understanding of practical, applied, or pragmatic issues related to the use of KDD technologies in industry and government, and highlight new research challenges arising from attempts to create such real KDD applications. IPE Track

The Industry Practice Expo (IPE) is a new invited track introduced in KDD-2011 and will continue for KDD-2012. It will comprise of technical invited talks and panel discussions/debates by leading experts in the world of applied data mining and knowledge discovery.

Asia Pacific Track

The Asia Pacific Invited Track is designed to highlight exemplary research works done in Asia Pacific Region.

KDD Summer School

The KDD-2012 Summer School will invite world renowned researchers to give high-quality lectures on KDD, giving students and researchers a chance to interact with the international experts face to face.
