Instructions of the uniform posters for KDD 2012

This year KDD will standardize the format of posters for all accepted papers. One of the most obvious changes is the uniform top banner, which is this year’s KDD logo. The following figure shows an example of the poster.

Poster Format

Poster size The poster size is 31.5 inches (Width) x 56 inches (Height)
Top banner size The size of the top banner is 31.5 inches (Width) x 3.56 inches (Height)
Poster editable size The editable size is 31.5 inches (Width) x 52.44 inches (Height)
Poster template Please download the Power Point file as a template for editing your poster. The template is only a guideline so you may modify the look of the poster, but not the bounding size or the top banner. The authors are responsible for making sure the final output is within the editable size listed above. Any deviations may run the risk of producing undesirable results.
Image resolution Images should be at least 150 dpi, i.e., the image width should be at least 591 pixel for an image of 10 cm (3.93 in) in width.

Submission instructions

Format The poster submission should be in the PDF format. Please ensure the content and format is correct before submitting it since there will be no time to revise your poster after submission.
Submission Deadline 11:59PM PST on July 20, 2012
No extension of any type will be granted due to the tight schedule for printing.
File name Please use KDD2012Poster-[Paper ID]-[Author name].pdf and replace in the appropriate location with your Paper ID and the last name of the first author.
